ABOUT US
Grads Mountain Sports Club (Formerly Graduates) was established in 1966. The Club's membership includes skiers, snowboarders and mountaineers from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. The club has two lodges, Ohakune and Whakapapa (on mountain).
The lodges are very family friendly with private rooms that can accommodate 4-5 people so the lodges are a good match for mountain sports families.
The Club is run via an appointed committee and the Lodges are fully privately owned by the combined Membership.
WHY JOIN GRADS?
Grads has that extra wow that others do not. We encourage an environment where everyone can relax after a great day on the mountain by the fire or in the games room.
How are we different from other clubs? Our Whakapapa lodge is catered. The day starts with a continental breakfast (perfect for a big day on the slopes) and when you come down the mountain, you have time to shower, time to relax then sit down for dinner made by our wonderful custodian.
After a great day on the mountain the last thing many of us want to do is cook dinner and for those with younger families this can also be a challenge.
Our Ohakune lodge is self catered, giving you the freedom to cook or take advantage of one of the many great restaurant or takeaway options in town.
Our approach, pour yourself a wine or soda and relax by the fire. Read a book or simply play 'Go Fish' with the kids, you deserve it.
